Cubic Telecom, Dopplr & the rising tide of Irish Startups

I’m a huge fan of Pat Phelan. I respect his business savvy and admire his energy and ability to hussle. He has been through a mountain of work over the last while especially in terms of travel. Something I’m starting to emulate myself and so I understand a little of how hard it is. I’m delighted to note then that his tireless energy has paid off with Cubic Telecom announcing a great partnership with Dopplr.  

Dopplr today announced their new shop with MAXroam as a launch partner. So all of the Dopplr users around the world will be able to take advantage of massive savings on their roaming bills and stay in touch with who they need to while abroad.

I know the title suggests a little more on the tide of Irish Startups but if your eyes aren’t focused on Ireland then they will be soon as I expect a few very smart companies to make traction internationally in 2009. Remember where you heard that. (Unless someone else already told you).
